The DreamMy friends and I were at a swimming pool laughing and messing around. A large bright spotlight suddenly blanketed me as a guy throws a plastic ball at me. As soon as I caught it, the ball instantly changed its color and shape – it suddenly turned into a metal ball full of spikes. The spiked metal ball hurt my hands and I started to sink because of the weight. I panicked and screamed for help but my friends just looked at me nonchalantly. As it turns out, the spiked metal ball was nothing but a prank. They were all wearing some sort of green swimsuit while I was wearing a red and black swimsuit.
Interpretation:
The outdoor setting of the dream refers to your fun personality. You're also someone who enjoys being the center of attention, as can be seen through the spotlight. The spotlight and your reaction to the morphing plastic ball prank refers to your tendency to over-dramatize things. The striking colors of your swimsuit further emphasizes your desire to stand out from the rest and remain in the spotlight. And because of this tendency, the people around you sometimes get put off.
In real life, however, over-dramatizing things in order to maintain your “popular” or "crucial" status are ultimately self-defeating. Sure, you may catch the attention of others but once they realize that you are just pretending to be something you're not for popularity's sake, they may sooner or later take you for granted or dismiss you. The pain and humiliation you experienced as described in the dream refers to your fear of losing the crowd's attention.
Being popular may have its benefits and it may boost your ego from time to time but don't overdo things or make a big deal out of everything just to keep the status quo. Learn to accept the fact that sometimes you're in the spotlight and sometimes you're part of the crowd. Sometimes, you're not.
You also have to accept the fact that being "genuinely popular" doesn't necessarily mean having a dramatic life full of twists and turns. Focus on your positive traits instead and cultivate you real self. Attract friends naturally--through your real personality and not through drama or other pretensions. Be honest with yourself.

wow, and all from the dream..I'll have to write mine down more often
Very interesting! I can't wait for you to interpret one of mine.
Very interesting! I've often wondered what my dreams meant. Sometimes I think I don't wanna know.
Perfect from A to Z. Oh boy! With such an expert in the house, I'm going to have to stop sleeping so heavily, and start remembering my dreams again.
Wow! Where did you get your interpretation from? There is no way that you found all of that from the internet?
I use dreams to help me make decisions. True. When there's something in my life - a difficulty, a struggle, a suspicion, an angst, I allow myself to dream to resolve that issue. have been doing this for the longest time and truth be told, it has helped me somehow manage my insecurities in life. I used to read Edgar Cayce a lot. His books taught me how to interpret my dreams.
Dream on :-) and Cheers!
